Black Diamond Inc. has released its preliminary figures for last quarter and for the full year for 2013, which ended on Dec. 31st. Over the last three months, sales of its Black Diamond, Gregory, Pieps and Poc brands were up 24 percent and hit $60.4 million. For the full year, turnover was up a whopping 15 percent to $175.9 million. According to Peter Metcalf, Chief Executive, 2013 was characterized by the integration of the Poc and Pieps brands, as well as establishing a distribution center in Japan and the introduction of a wide range of new products. Black Diamond is hopeful that it will hit double figure growth again this year. In 2013, its gross margin remained stable at 38.2 percent.
