Thanks in large part to the recovery of its winter sports sector, Head saw an increase in sales of 4.5 percent to €358.7 million in 2013 compared with the previous year. Its snow sports category improved by 9.1 percent to €160.0 million. Racket sports were up by 1.9 percent to €144.8 million. The diving segment represented by the brands Mares and Dacor increased by 12.3 percent to €52.3 million. Head also saw its apparel category rise by 12.3 percent to €6.6 million. Royalties from licences in the other hand dropped substantially, by 10.4 percent to €5.2 million, in part due to a license for sportswear in the U.K. coming to an end. Head’s profits for the whole year were up from €2.5 million in 2012 to €5.3 million, a substantial rise.
