Converse has filed a lawsuit against 31 companies for alleged counterfeiting. The companies which are the subjects in a case at a New York court are not just small ones either. The list comprises brands and retailers alike, including Skechers, Ralph Lauren, Ed Hardy, Fila, K-Mart and Wal-Mart. Converse’s complaint is about trademark infringements in regard to the design of the legendary “Chucks” and the diamond pattern on the bottom of the sole.
According to company information, the problem of faked Chuck Taylor models has increased over the last years. Over the past six years, Converse has taken action in no less than 180 cases of alleged counterfeiting.
