Online retailer Zalando has been working on developing the missing link between online and offline shopping by launching zalon.de, a linguistic creation comprising the company’s name and “salon”).
After a period of testing, the group is now offering “curated shopping” under the Zalon flag. Customers can now put together their lifestyle profile according to preferred colours, price ranges and other parameters and send it to style experts at Zalando. The stylists then give advice – even on telephone appointment – which combination of fashion items would the customer suit best. Usually, the stylists make three different suggestions. The shopper can return the products within 30 days.
