Nike and Apple pay millions to settle class action against Fuelband

Nike_FuelBand_SE_Volt_4Band_iPhone_largeAccording to media reports, Apple and Nike, the two partners behind the Fuelband wearable device, have reached a settlement with unhappy customers. It was said that the class suit was with regards to wrongful advertising of the Fuelband by suggesting that the item could count calories or steps. The settlement concerns products purchased between January 2012 and June this year. Nike agreed to pay a total of $2.4 million, which equates to $15 per item in cash and/or gift cards worth $25.
