Adidas aims to halt its various advanced soccer shoe lines, including the F50, Predator, 11pro and Nitrocharge, to focus on its two flagship models, the X and the Ace. The reduced offering follows the same principle that German coach of the Bayern Munich soccer club Pep Guardiola has coined, that there are only two main types of players: Game changers (described as “chaotic”) and play maker, those who bring a team’s play back into order. While the former are supposed to go for the X model, the latter may opt for the Ace.
Sport 2000 International is set to support this change in strategy by its major vendor. Together with the Three Stripes, the retail network will be launching a big marketing campaign via YouTube to promote the new assortment. The initiative is set to start on Aug.1
