Black Diamond Equipment, marketer of snow sports and outdoor equipment, is reportedly having difficulties finding a buyer for the entire Salt Lake City-based group or parts of it. SportsOneSource writes that a journalist publicized, on Thursday, a comment which said that BDE’s outlook was bleak for convincing investors to take on the group as a whole or its brands POC, the Swedish maker of protective equipment, and Pieps, the Austrian developer of snow safety devices.
Following the report, BD’s stock lost 5.5 percent of its value on the stock exchange on Thursday afternoon. As reported, BDE hired financial consultants to find strategic partners or buyers back in March. There has been no news of progress, although BDE did not specify a schedule to find new partners.
