GoPro has already revealed plans to market its first drone in the course of the first half of next year. Observers say that the U.S. company is behind its competitors from China, who came up earlier with comparable products.
A film shot of the drone can be seen here. GoPro says that its own quadcopter is ahead of the competition when it comes to stabilization. The film seen in the clip did not require any post production, the company said.
Apparently, the action camera maker needs some good news after the release of its quarterly figures earlier this week. The figures were good, but not good enough to meet analysts’ expectations. Sales improved by 43 percent to $400.3 million over the prior year’s period, earnings per share reached $0.25. Analysts, however, expected sales exceeding $433 million and EPS at $0.29.
