U.S. authorities support Converse’s trademark rights

sneaker_boot_billboardThe chief judge of the International Trade Commission (ITC) of the United States has validated the intellectual rights of Converse for its Chuck Taylor All Star brand. SportsOneSource reports that the U.S. authorities support the Nike subsidiary’s rights to enforce protection of its intellectual property as the Chuck star and other features of the footwear have been critical for the Converse brand over decades.

As reported, Converse took no less than 31 companies before a federal Court in New York, back in October 2014, for alleged violations of its property rights. At the same time, Converse addressed the ITC to prevent related counterfeits from finding their way into the country.
